WALL CLADDING SYSTEMS
Rainscreen
Rainscreen systems feature an outer cladding layer separated from the main wall by a ventilated cavity. This gap allows air to flow behind the panels, helping moisture drain and evaporate before it can damage the building envelope. Rainscreens are highly effective in managing water infiltration and are widely used in modern, energy-efficient building designs.
The extensive range of materials and finishes currently available within the UK market ensures that, regardless of an architect’s design intent, an appropriate rainscreen cladding system can be specified to meet the desired aesthetic and performance criteria. The selection of the base cladding material represents only the initial stage in the design process, with numerous options for coatings, colours, textures, surface patterns and geometries. In addition, most metal panels can be perforated or expanded, enabling integration of functional requirements such as solar control, natural ventilation, or acoustic performance.
The team at Stroods were extremely impressed with the professionalism and efficiency shown by P&F Cladding throughout the school project delivered over the summer holidays. Their team worked to a tight programme and produced high-quality cladding works on time and to an excellent standard. Communication was clear and proactive, and they coordinated seamlessly with our site team to ensure the project ran smoothly. We look forward to working with P & F Cladding again on future projects.
